It’s been a while since my parents have been out and about in the world. They’ve got cabin fever so I’m setting them loose, without their leash, on May 15th to attend Woof Stock in Suwanee, GA.  Don’t know where Suwanee is, then click here.

They’ll be there pawtographing Bad to the Bone: Memoir of a Rebel Doggie Blogger, the dog memoir I think is the best dog book ever! As always, they’ll be giving away something for free. You’ll have to attend to find out what it is.  If you’ve already purchased your copy and want my paw on it, bring it to the festival and we’ll get it done.

In case you didn’t know, Woof Stock is a fun filled day to be enjoyed with your pet. In fact, it’s filled with great activities throughout the day:

1:00p – 1:20p  Dog Agility show   Free Clinic 1:20p – 1:50p
2:00p – 2:20p  Flyball show         Free Clinic 2:20p – 2:50p
3:00p – 3:20p  Frisbee Dog show Free Clinic 3:30 – 3:50p
3:30p Smallest Dog contest
4:15p – 4:45p Pet Parade (Pet owners are encouraged to dress their pets in costumes and take part)
4:45p Biggest Dog contest
5:45p Cutest Pet contest
* times are subject to change

I hope my parents won’t be dancing in the mud after inhaling a plate full of cat nip, but I can’t guarantee it. Sometimes they can be so embarrassing.

Hope to see you there!

Bo

This Sunday, December 6th, we’ll be doing a book signing to support one of our favorite charities, Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen.  Daffy’s is dedicated to keeping families and their pets together and has made a huge impact in so many lives.

The event will be held at the Strickland House from 12pm to 5 pm. It is located at 2956 Buford Highway in Duluth, GA. For more information you can call (404) 345-6821.

We’re looking forward to being there along with Santa.

Yes, Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s here just to do a photo op with your pets.

Not enough? How about getting a caricature done by famous artist Justin Galloway?

There will be pet toys and treats, as well as professional HappyTails pet therapy dogs mulling around. I know I’m looking to book a full hour session with one!

I can’t encourage you enough to attend this event, along with your favorite furry pet.

It’s going to be fun, fun, fun!!! and all proceeds go to support Daffy’s.

Bad to the Bone: Memoir of a Rebel Doggie has hit the Big Apple’s big screen.

Featured on Times Square’s jumbotron, my lovely mug was on display for all New Yorkers to see…well for a few seconds anyway.

My father thinks he’s being worldly when he says this about New York, “Bo, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.”

Surely he knows that not only did I make it New York but I’ve been making it in Georgia too. All he needs to do is walk in the backyard and step in some of my recent work for confirmation.

Now if I could just get him to drive me to Rockefeller Plaza to pee on that big tree, all my dreams will be fulfilled.

Come Pet Me!

After the successful book signing we had at Books-A-Million in October, we’re ready to do it again!!

Come join us on Novermber 27th, Black Friday, from 11-1 pm at the Books-A-Million in Acworth, GA.

This time we even have a special treat for people purchasing a pawtographed copy of Bad to the Bone. We will be giving away a free Dogtronics toy to the first fifty people that purchase a book.

These toys rock, and Bo won’t play with anything of lesser quality or fun factor.

The store is located in Acworth, GA on Saturday. The store is located at 3372 Cobb Parkway in the Super Target plaza.

Grab a couple of copies, it makes a great stocking stuffer.

Won't you please buy a copy for the holidays?

I'd ask her where my treats are hidden

Ask Dog Lady, the syndicated columnist, has asked Horst and Bo to be on her radio show this Wednesday the 7th. The Hoefinger household is a big fan of the Dog Lady and thrilled to be on the show to talk about BAD TO THE BONE: Memoir Of A Rebel Doggie Blogger.

The radio show is on 980 WCAP Wednesday, October 7th at 2 pm (EST) and can be listened to live or later via podcast.

Dog Lady was kind enough to preview my book before it came out and gave me 5 paws up.  Check out her awesome quote:

“Bo’s rebel adventures in naps and squirrels will stir the heart and stoke human understanding of how dogs must think. His ‘voice’ is utterly original, sharp, and kind.”- Monica Collins, “Ask Dog Lady”

I know, I know…that’s the type of advice everyone should be listening too!
